	SHOWBOATS DEFEAT CHARLESTON 91-79

	The Owensboro Showboats (2-2) beat the Charleston Bombers (1-3_ 91-79 to move into second place in the NABL. Guard Michael Nurse (Iowa State) led the Showboats with 16 points while Mario Bland (Miami, Fla.) added 14. Tony Lovan (W. Kentucky) added 13, Brodney Kennard (Texas Tech) and Gino Bartolone (Kentucky Wesleyan) each had 12 in a balanced attack. Ajamu Gaines scored 21 to lead the Charleston quintet while Ronald Keen and Daniel Hicks each had 17. The next Showboat game is Sunday, January 27^th in Lexington against the first place Kentucky Coyotes (6-1). The next Showboat home game is Wednesday, February 6^th against the Frankfort Cattle Barons at 7pm at the SportsCenter.
