	COYOTES TRAVEL TO CHARLESTON; HOST THE SHOWBOATS

	The Kentucky Coyotes (6-1) travel to Charleston to meet the Charleston Bombers this Saturday, before returning to the Kentucky Basketball Academy to Host the surging Owensboro Showboats Sunday night at 7pm. The Bombers (1-3) have handed the Coyotes their only loss this season. This is Kentucky's first trip to Charleston in the NABL's inaugural season. On Sunday, the Coyotes return to the KBA to host the surging Owensboro Showboats. The Showboats, coached by Pat Rafferty, lost big to Kentucky in their last appearance at the KBA but since have played the Coyotes tough in a loss in Owensboro before winning on the road in Frankfort and then beating Charleston in Owensboro. The Showboats are now (2-2) in NABL play and in second place. Owensboro is led by guard Michael Nurse (Iowa St), forward Brodney Kennard (Texas Tech), and center Mario Bland (Miami,Fla), all key Raffery additions. Local stars Chris Thomas (Kentucky Wesleyan), Tony Lovan (W. Kentucky), and Arlundo Johnson (E. Kentucky) also are key Showboats. Rafferty was Denny Crum's assistant the past two seasons at Louisville and is the former head coach at Northern Arizona. The Coyotes have been an exciting team this season. Led by 6-7 point guard Elton Scott (West Virginia), 6-9 forward Will Carlton (Georgetown), and 6-8 forward Collier Mills (Transylvania), the team has been the class of the NABL. "We have been most impressed by the quality of play in the NABL," said Coyote coach Jerome Hoosier. "We could easily be 4-3, so we consider ourselves very fortunate to be leading the league at 6-1. With all of the hard fought games, we don't expect any let down from our guys." Sunday's game will be held at the Kentucky Basketball Academy, 273 Ruccio Way in Lexington.
