	SURGING SHOWBOATS START A THREE GAME NABL ROAD TRIP

	The second place Owensboro Showboats (2-2), winners of two straight, hit the road this week in a tour of the other three Riverside Conference rivals. On January 27th, the Showboats return to Lexington to play the Kentucky Coyotes, where they hope to avenge the two losses that Kentucky has saddled the 'Boats with. Kentucky (6-1) is off to a fast start but the Showboats (2-2) are hoping to close the gap. On February 1 the 'Boats go to Frankfort to play the Cattle Barons and then complete the road trip with a February 3rd game in Charleston against the Bombers. Owensboro has defeated the Bombers and Cattle Barons, so both teams will be gunning for them to get back into the race. "These next three games will tell us a lot about this team," said Showboats coach Pat Rafferty. "Playing on the road is always tough and we need to keep working and improving." The Showboats return home to the SportsCenter on February 6th when they host the Kentucky Coyotes.
