	NABL Begins Conference Season December 28th with Kentucky-Frankfort Tilt

	The National Alliance Basketball League launches its season on Friday, December 28th when the Kentucky Coyotes, based in Lexington, travel to face the Frankfort Cattle Barons at Farnham Dudgeon Civic Center. Tipoff is 7pm. The NABL is the national league of AAU Elite teams. The Owensboro Showboats, Evansville Orbits, and Charleston Bombers all begin play in January 2002. The Coyotes are sponsored by the Kentucky Basketball Academy, located in Lexington, where they will play their home games. The Cattle Barons are sponsored by Boardwalk Records, home to such recording artitsts as Joan Jett, Ringo Starr, Curtis Mayfield, Ohio Players, and Carole Bayer Sager. Other teams in the NABL are the Evansville Orbits, the Owensboro Showboats, and the Charleston Bombers. The teams will play a 20 game conference shedule between Christmas and Mid March. Following the conference season, the teams will play in the NABL Post Seson Tournament, with the winner of both the regular season and the tournament invited to the 97th National AAU Basketball Tournament in Sacramento on April 11-16, 2002.
